my disdain for PETA grows stronger as more time passes. sexist, maniacal, lying, speciesist, greedy, deceitful. continuing to "fight" exploitation of animals, while exploiting people. creating a horrible image of the animal rights movement as one that is full of crazies. getting the public stuck in a dangerous comfort zone where they are content eating "happy meat" with clear consciences. now people want to buy even more meat because it was gassed and not electrocuted :D and oh shit yea, these piggies were kept in crates that have an inch more space than NON happy piggy crates. wooo time to get naked spring break!!!

half of PETA's people arent even vegetarian. they work alongside the biggest names in the industry, using capitalist tactics to argue their cases. how can you use the roots of a system based on greed to fight for a moral cause? "if you gas the chickens, it produces better meat, and also reduces production time! $$$!" this does NOTHING. the animal still suffers.

nor does direct action work for the animal rights movement, who's image is already seen in a negative light. it is only a temporary fix for a never-ending cycle of suffering. the first thing that needs to change is our own opinions. and through non-violent education. until then, animals will remain nothing more than commodities.
