salzburg was way more metal than i thought i was going to be, so many castles and mountains, and i saw all the sound of music stuff, mozarts house, etc etc. biked and hiked so much. i need to go back when its warmer definitely. its beautiful! you can click on any of the pictures to go to the full album on flickr

also, i got 4 new classes i will start teaching next week. that means i will be going from working 3 hours a week to working about 11 hours a week...and my income will almost quadruple and i will be RICH. rich from working 11 hours a week!! i <3 this city

im deciding what mozart songs to put on my ipod's salzburg playlist (salzburg is mozart's hometown, mozart tourist trap) and i am passing up on some classics..not because theyre bad, but because i cant take them seriously. kids tv shows, video games, etc all used classical music in them when we were kids. we got great exposure to clasical music but the sucky thing is that to this day, i always associate certain songs with these tv shows, commercials, etc no matter how hard i try

typing on greg leibowitz's old computer/ my new computer...mine died 2 wks ago and luckily greg sold his. shipped it over and the dicks at customs made me pay 70€ to pick it up :( the sound of music is on repeat in itunes in preperation for my trip to salzburg on thursday (guitar wailing loudly in the background)
